Agencia Comercial Martima was a Portuguese owned shipping agency that began operations in the late 1950’s in pre-independent Goa. It was acquired by the visionary entrepreneur Mr. B.M. Parkkot in the year 1962.
Under the stewardship of successive generations of Parkkots, the company has emerged as a leading player involved in stevedoring, barge operations, ship agency, cargo and equipment handling.
ACM as the company is popularly called is specialised in handling bulk cargo, and routinely handles in excess of 2 million tonnes of iron ore every year.
